Class Rules and Expectations: The Key To Success!

Class Rules:
Although there are some "basic" classroom rules that insure success for students in most any classroom environment, we will have a class meeting during the first week of school (fourth/fifth combined) to revise the rules together and create a student/teacher contract.

Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
Be a Problem Solver

Homework Expectations:

Homework is extremely important and will be given nightly. Please expect 45-60 minutes of homework - if it is taking longer for your child to complete the assignments, please do not hesitate to be in contact with us. It is important to check your child's agenda for assigned homework and sign the agenda daily.  If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please jot a quick, legible note in the agenda so they can be addressed by the appopriate teacher in a timely manner.

Blue parent communicators will be handed out each Friday, except when interims or report cards are handed out.  Graded papers and notes from the school will be included.  Please sign and send the communicator back to school the following Monday.

Students are required to read no less than twenty minutes a night to meet their home reading and independent reading goals.  Independent reading practice will aid in language and vocabulary development.
