4th Grade Reading

Independent Reading Goal Requirements:
 
April
 
  • One Fiction/Non-fiction book (AR or Non-AR)
    • AR book: Reading level 4.2 + points - score 80% or higher
    • Non-AR book: Reading level 4.2+100+ pages - Project options:
      • Create a book jacket (See Ms. Lyon for details)
      • Create a reader's theatre script for your favorite "scene" in the book and act it out (Other students may participate as characters in your script
      • Create a photostory or powerpoint presentation about the narrative elements of the book (title, author, genre, author's purpose, theme, characters, plot, problem, resolution)
      • Dress up as a character and present a summary of the book to the class
  • Choice Non Fiction Science Book from Library AR test r see Ms. Mills for project guidelines

 

 
 

Each week the students will be required to report to their parents and teachers their progress on their independent reading goal.
